Six features, four shorts and two archive Czech films will be screened at Festival of Central and Eastern European Film goEast (April 18-25) in Wiesbaden, Germany.

The main Competition section will present a recent winner of six Czech Lions Ice Mother by Bohdan Sláma, which has been travelling around the world for almost a year now – the international premiere took place last April Tribeca.

Two Czech minority co-productions films will be featured in the Specials (The Interpreter by Martin Šulík, which had the world premiere at the Berlinale earlier this year, and Little Harbour by Iveta Grófová awarded at Berlinale 2017). In addition, the animated shorts The Little One (directed by Diana Cam Van Nguyen), Fruits of Clouds (directed by Kateřina Karhánková), The Fox in the Henhouse (directed by Monika Kocinová) and short fiction film The Truck (directed by Adam Mach and Michal Blaško) will be included in this section.

Insect by Jan Švankmajer, premiered at IFF Rotterdam this year, will be screened at the Bioskop section and it will be a German premiere of the film.

A special section called Prague 1968 will present four Czech films: the documentary testimony by five directors Occupation 1968 (directed by Stefan Komandarev, Marie Elisa Scheidt, Evdokia Moskvina, Linda Dombrovszky, Magdalena Szymków), which was shot in a Czech co-production, Cosy Dens by Jan Hřebejk and two classic films by Jan Němec from the 1960s – the feature film A Report on the Party and the Guests from 1966 and the short documentary Oratorium for Prague from 1968.
