An intimate psychological drama incorporating sci-fi elements: following a serious car accident, the brain of an aging female professor is transplanted to the body of a young woman. Director Jaromil Jireš focused on elucidating the confused emotional struggle which ensues after 'she' suddenly finds herself with a double identity, the woman must resolve the conflict between her two differing temperaments and social roles. The film provided Tereza Brodská with an excellent acting opportunity.
