Czech Film and Television Academy (www.cfta.cz) announced  the Czech Lions winners of the 23rd edition of annual national Czech Lion awards on Saturday evening, during the festive ceremony in Rudolfinum concert hall in Prague. The most succes sful film was the The Snake Brothers, with 6 Czech Lions, followed by The Seven Ravens (3 Czech Lions). Lost in Munich, nominated in 15 categories, ended with two Czech Lions, together with Schmitke.

Czech Lions were newly awarded also for TV programmes. Czech Television (www.ceskatelevize.cz) received 2 Czech Lions, HBO Europe  (http://www.hbo-europe.com/) one. The non-statutory Magnezia Award for the best student film went to Ondrej Hudeček for his short film Peacock /Furiant.
