ACE, an exclusive network of experienced independent film producers from Europe and beyond,  is organising a workshop for upcoming producers from Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland interested in learning more about co-producing in Europe. The workshop will take place in Prague on June 30 - July 2. Completed application should be send no later than  May 29, 2017.

The Training Days - Focus Czech Republic & Central Europe - will be organised by ACE Producers, which was founded in 1993 and is an exclusive network of experienced independent film producers from Europe and beyond. The network is based on professionalism, mutual trust, collaborative working and openness to new ideas. A fundamental aim of ACE Producers is to encourage and enable international co-productions.

The Training Days, scheduled over two-and-a-half days, will be provided with the help of ACE consultants who have notably strong track-records in international project financing and distribution, and who will share thein knowledge and international expertise.

The Training Days are designed to meet the needs of upcoming producers, at relatively early stages in their careers, from Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. Participation will not be limited to producers with the same high level of experience as is required for the main ACE European Training programme.

“The Essentials of International Co-production” will include plenary sessions, group meetings, case-studies and interactive workshops. These will explore international financing opportunities and strategies; co-production advantages and pitfalls; finance plans and different types of money; an evaluation of international project markets; improvement of pitching skills; and, with input from experienced film producers, different options for developing a sustainable business.
The Training Days are organised by ACE Producers and supported by the Czech Cinematography Fund.

Dates: 30th June - 2nd July 2017
Location: Prague
Number of participants: 16-20 places available for upcoming independent producers

Eligibility conditions:
• To be an independent film producer at a relatively early stage of your career;
• To have produced at least two short films;
• To have a feature film project in development that is at a relevant stage and suitable for co-production;
• To commit to attend the workshop.

How to apply:
Submit the following documents in English and in PDF format:
• Biography/filmography (including contact details) and/or your company profile;
• Motivation letter explaining why you would like to participate;
• Synopsis of a feature length project in development suitable for co-production, on which you would like to work during the Training Days.

Participation fee: €300 (Czech Producers will get a disscount and pay €200)
Participants not based in Prague will take care of their own travel and accommodation
The selection of producers will be announced in the week of 5th June.
