A mosaic of stories and vignettes drawn from the period when totalitarianism transformed itself into capitalism. Capitalism brings new life to a certain small town, and the Independent Erotic Initiative has carried the elections. The mayor spends the greater part of his day enjoying porn videos; a striptease has been organized at the gym; and the first private businesses are popping up, as are more or less honest plans about getting rich quick. But in some cases, illusions about the big world of the rich dwindle into the struggle to simply put food on the table. Not even property returned in the government restitution program always brings happiness. The only ones unaffected by the changes are an old alcoholic and a young man bent on offering a free computer course to city hall. In lieu of a fee he intends to seduce the wife of a local businessman…
