After an attack on the President of the Czech Republic, the investigative journalist Martin Braun teams up with the young online investigator Julia to uncover exactly what happened and why. During their search, they become embroiled in a dangerous game of secret services, international politics and forces determined to keep the truth hidden for various reasons. In the search of finding the truth people are dying, so Julia and Martin must reveal what happened before they become the next victims.
Housing Against Everyone tells the story of several years in a million city, where the city hall decided to try one of the new ways of combating ‘poverty business’ known as rapid rehousing. The principle is to give a stable and respectable home to families in housing need, which are the usual victims of this business that even the government pays for. The chain of controversy grows into a dramatic social conflict revealing not only the crisis of interpersonal solidarity and traditional social policy, but above all the international problem worsening the situation of affordable housing.
The horrors of the past, the wasted lives, the remains of uranium mines and labour camps. Time is slowly washing away the forgotten history in Kyrgyzstan, and the growing influence of Russia hinders efforts at studying it. the forgotten history of Kyrgyzstan is slowly being taken away by time. Among the victims of Soviet repression there were also many Czechoslovak citizens. The Gulag.cz expedition set out to the sites of this troubled history in August 2024 on the occasion of the upcoming 100th anniversary of the founding of the "Interhelpo" cooperative by our compatriots in Kyrgyzstan.
We follow a five-year phase in the personal and professional lives of Marie and Thomas, partners in work and life, their passion and obsession for art, their fearlessness to make their vision a reality, and the boundless effort that requires. The film thus becomes a testimony to the moments that shape the young artists' careers, with all the uncertainties and obstacles they must overcome on the way to make their dreams come true. The film is also about a young artist's desire to be accepted in a new place, but also to be recognized in the place she left. Marie no longer feels at home in her native Mikulov, nor does she feel like she belongs to America. The phenomenon of pulling up one’s roots, migrating elsewhere, and finding a new home in a foreign land is a universal theme.

Introducing
Sound designer Martin Ženíšek, 45, has already worked with Zuzana Kirchnerová on her film Bába, which won the Cinéfondation section at Cannes. Now his name also appears in the credits of her feature film Caravan, a rroad movie that follows a woman and her son with a disability on their journey through Italy. The intimate atmosphere of the film is greatly enhanced by the sound component. Caravan will compete in the Un Certain Regard section at Cannes.
