Film markets are a great opportunity to present current Czech film production and the current state of things in the Czech film industry in terms of legislation, financing or infrastructure. The festival environment allows for regular contact with other festivals, markets, institutions, educational programmes, sales agents and other professionals. It also allows to discuss new possibilities for the presentation of Czech film and new opportunities for international cooperation.

During our participation in the markets:

• We provide information about current Czech productions.
• We pass on contacts to film companies and filmmakers in the Czech film industry.
• Wen answer questions regarding financing and conditions of international co-productions with the Czech Republic
• We negotiate with representatives of major international festivals and film or co-production markets, educational programmes, film funds, institutions and other existing and potential partners
• We also communicate with Czech and foreign journalists and try to expand our contacts with film retailers.

Large film markets tend to be associated with large film festivals, and this means that a large number of film professionals will also be present during the film market. Therefore, during the duration of the market we organise our own formal and informal accompanying programme – opening of the stand and facilities for Czech filmmakers, various thematic meetings, presentations of films screened in the market and festival programme, etc.
