The Dead Forest and Other Bullshit series represents the best of the short movies that emerged from the collaboration of director Pavel Marek and photographer Roman Včelák in the period of 1983-1993. The first short film, Birthday Party in a Park, was shot at Petřín Park in a single day. Harvest, a black and white movie, is a story of two old ladies in a hospital room that at that time raised polemics on movie making ethics at the Prague FAMU. The basis of the script for the Tutor to Fear came into being through the use of psychic automatism techniques. The character of the Tutor is the personification of a foreboding feeling of fear and threat. As he mysteriously shows up on his ancient skis in the course of the movie so he disappears at the end of it. The last movie in this series is the Dead Forest, a strange story of a frustrated mycophagus and his wife – an auto-sexual, psycho-erotic woman.
