Tereza, an ex- prima ballerina of the National Theatre, who had to quit her career due to an accident, moves with her husband Petr and a daughter Maruška to an abandoned mill, an inheritance from her grandma. Despite limited financial possibilities, she decides to reconstruct the building to create her family a new home. To earn some extra money, she leads a ballet group at the local school. The life at countryside doesn´t make Petr happy and their marriage gets in crisis. One evening, the mill starts burning. Tereza meets the head of the local fire brigade, Petr moves back to Prague, the school director wants to cancel the ballet group, and Tereza´s friends appear in the town. If she wants to survive it all, she needs a good plan.
