An animated remake of one of the most popular films in Czechoslovak cinema history, about Krasomila, a childishly vain princess, and her mean advisors, who want to wed her to a weakling, to be able to keep their power. However, the righteous king Miroslav of the neighbouring kingdom falls in love with Krasomila and - disguised as a gardener – decides to cure her of her pride. Eventually, he succeeds, and they flee together from the rage of the advisors to his kingdom. Krasomila has no idea that the gardener she is running away with is a king. She only finds out in the grand finale when she marries him. The advisors are driven out and love triumphs.
