Eve, the little wolverine is in a bit of a bind. She feels puny, clumsy and unable to stand up to a pack of adolescent wolves who are making her life a misery. But she has a wise mother who, through three riveting stories about the evolution of creatures on Earth, teaches her that true courage takes many forms. These tales – about an inquisitive cell, a plucky fish and a resourceful squirrel – help Eve to see that she has a hidden strength that has been passed down through the generations, as all three heroes were her ancestors. That’s how Eve, in the end, is able to take on the wolves.
