The Launch of the Czech Audiovisual Fund
As of January 1, 2025, the Czech Film Fund has transformed into the Czech Audiovisual Fund. Under its new name, the Czech Audiovisual Fund will continue to run the two aid schemes: selective support for audiovisual works and production incentives.
This year’s Berlinale & EFM mark the first international event where the rebranded Czech Audiovisual Fund (CAF), a proud partner of this year´s Berlinale Co-Production Market, will be presented to the industry. Together with its international divisions, the Czech Film Center and the Czech Film Commission, the CAF will be present at the market.

Our People at the Co-Pro Series
Our People, the latest project by Czech production company nutprodukce, will be presented during the Co-Pro Series pitching session at the Berlinale’s Co-Production Market. Coproduced by Czech Television, along with ZDF and Network Movie in Germany, Our People is a six-part true crime miniseries helmed by filmmaker Tereza Nvotová, and penned by Miro Šifra, rooted in the 2018 assassination of journalist Ján Kuciak and his fiancée, Martina Kušnírová, one of the most notorious cases of corruption and impunity in Slovakia.
The Co-Pro Series pitching takes place on Tuesday February 18, 09:30 – 13:30, at CinemaxX, followed by a Networking Get-Together, hosted by the Czech Audiovisual Fund. Access with market badge and Berlinale Co-Production Market registration.

Industry Event at Berlinale Series Market
The newly rebranded Czech Audiovisual Fund extends its support from films to series and games. With refreshed funding models, increased financial contributions from stakeholders and a revamped production incentive structure, the goal is to attract global interest while bolstering local talent.
The Czech Audiovisual Fund´s CEO Helena Bezděk Fraňková will present the changes and discuss key developments from an international perspective with prominent representatives of Czech audiovisual industry – Barrandov Studio´s CEO Petr Tichý and the chairman of the Audiovisual Producers' Association, Vratislav Šlajer.
The event will take place at on Tuesday Feb 18, 14:15–15:00, at CinemaxX 1, followed by a networking cocktail hosted by Audiovisual Producers’ Association. Access with market badge.
