The film traces the 8th generation of the family of puppeteers, Kopecký - brothers Rosťa and Vítek Novák, in critical moments of their lives, starting with the year 2014 when they acquired their own theatre space – Jatka 78 – sparking the idea for their ambitious project with new circus ensemble Cirk La Putyka. The new circus is not merely a glittery show chock-full of spectacular artistry and acrobatics. Cirk La Putyka is not only an ensemble of free-thinking artists riding a wave of popularity among Prague’s intellectual elite. It is a dream come true – and not only for its ringleader Rosťa Novák, but also his ancestors; it was namely his self-destructive resolve which, after eight generations of travelling artists, finally brought them what they always wanted - their own theatre.
