Film shot on the occasion of the centenary of the birth of one of the most original Czech writers - Bohumil Hrabal, the author of Closely Watched Trains, Shortcut or I Served the King of England which were translated to many foreign languages and also filmed by famous Czech directors. The film presents a legend about the life and work of this great figure, which includes historic footage, unique photographs and a series of previously unknown information. The recollections on Bohumil Hrabal of Jiri Menzel, Jan Nemec and other Czech filmmakers are the part of the film.
