A look at the fate of three protagonists who spent part of their lives doing time. Twenty-eight-year-old Linda leaves prison after serving an eight-month sentence for theft. We start following thirty-five-year-old Mirek at the moment when he has collected thirteen and a half years in Czech prisons for fraud. Thirty-six-year-old Tomáš is just serving his six-year sentence in prison for drug trafficking and is fixated on the possibility of release after serving half his sentence. We can follow their way out day by day, almost minute by minute. Is Linda going to be able to keep from stealing and doing drugs? Will she succeed in starting the family she has always yearned for? Will Mirek stop cheating? Will he manage to find a girlfriend who will not denounce him for his criminal past? Will Tomáš be released at the half-way point? And if so, will he really continue in his life without drugs? The film is a metaphor on how we deal with freedom, time and our own fate. About the decisions made at important crossroads in our lives, which does not only apply to those who were imprisoned. About the desire to get out. Not only from jail, but also from the prison that we sometimes have inside ourselves.
