The documentary focuses on the so-called "wild transfers" of Germans from former Czechoslovakia in the summer of 1945, between the end of World War II in May and the Potsdam Conference in August. During the period, about seven hundred thousand ethnic Germans long-settled in the border territories were driven out of their homes by force. Due to the atmosphere of postwar hysteria and the craving for revenge, there were several cases of brutal massacres. This happened in the north-Bohemian village of Postoloprty (Postelberg), where 763 German civilians were shot by Czechoslovak soldiers and militia men. The documentary features the world's only existing footage of the guerilla executions of German civilians in postwar Europe. Now, for the first time, German and Czech witnesses speak before the camera about the Postelberg Massacre that was to have remained a secret forever...
