In reaction to the police assault on CzechTek in August 2005, the organizers of a music festival in Trutnov called Czech Premier Jiří Paroubek on his mobile phone directly from the stage. Former dissident, goat farmer, and Green Party candidate Stanislav Penc asked Paroubek if he had a message for the festivalgoers. The premier wished them a good time and hung up. Then Penc dictated Paroubek's mobile number to the audience. Paroubek subsequently received thousands of text messages and filed a complaint against Penc with Trutnov City Hall. The city hall employee handling the case prepared for his meeting with Penc more than painstakingly: he even asked his colleague to videotape the proceedings. At the beginning, it all seemed rather uneventful, but the eloquent, well-versed in law, and exceptionally assertive Penc decides to fight back and ultimately wins when he forces the clerk to write up a report from the meeting, a move by which the civil servant basically incriminates himself of violating official procedures.
