This bittersweet romance takes a closer look at certain individuals living on the fringes of society, outsiders whose common lot is exploitation and an often squandered life. Despite Čerčil’s refusal to settle down, his relationship with the fragile Gréta produces a daughter. Rufus has a son by Kateřina, and they try to lead a ‘normal’ life. In their boastful longing to confirm their chosen lifestyle, Rufus and Čerčil promise their children in marriage while still at a tender age… Young Gréta and Rufus live through the first painful experiences of adolescence independent of each other, unwittingly making choices that place them in line with their fathers’ legacy. While their parents’ relationships whither, the bond between the kids grows as they reach adulthood. And it seems that these young vagabonds, who picked up so much from their fathers, might just have a chance…
