The first Czech-Slovak coproduction following the breakup of the country. Based on Vladimír Körner's World War One novel, the movie focuses on a passionate love between a war criminal's widow, who tries to repay his debt to society by working as a nurse in a military hospital and POW with mysterious abilities.
