Eliska is full time loving wife of charismatic and wealthy Pavel, until, at her early forties, he proposes a divorce. Eliska decides to start from scratch as a teacher in a small village in Central Bohemia. The overactive mayor of the village moves her into a house with morose Bozicek, who had, due to his own unfortunate experience, done away with women. His sarcasm and rudeness may only compete with his own profession of the village gravedigger. Elizabeth, however, has also currently had a grudge against men, so she definitely will not put up with everything...
