Lot of things happen in 35 years of a couple’s shared life: from moments of absolute harmony to dramatic falls. For most of the time, a couple deals with common daily life issues and joys connected with raising children, running a household or running a business. The same applies for the common life of the furniture shop owners Ivana and Václav Strnad, the protagonists whom the director Helena Třeštíková has followed with a camera since 1980 within her project The Marriage Story. Her new feature documentary about Strnad family is linked to the TV films from this cycle, but most importantly it shows further shocking twists, that life brought to this couple and their children.
