The documentary follows Holeček's preparation and his five attempts at the first ascent of the challenging mountain Gasherbrum I in the Pakistani Karakoram Mountains. He looks at them through the eyes of Mára Holeček and at the same time through the eyes of the people around him, the eyes of people who are waiting to see if they will return. Only the fifth expedition was successful, and the film also follows the unsuccessful ones and even the tragic ones. During them, due to frostbite, he lost several joints in his leg and also a friend and fellow climber who fell from a height of a thousand meters right in front of him. Holeček's ability to solve problems and his positive approach to life are thus shown on five attempts to conquer Gašerbrum.
