At first glance, Kristýna has a quiet life in a small town. She works at the library, runs a community centre and has a long-time boyfriend, Filip. But when she discovers that Filip is cheating on her, she decides to end the relationship and take her life into her own hands. Hoping for support from her family, she turns to her parents, but instead of support, they only bring her unsolicited advice and their beliefs about what is best for her. Luckily, she has her best friend Tamara by her side, who supports her to stop looking to other people's expectations and finally live life on her own terms. Just when Kristýna decides to say goodbye to her old life, the charismatic graphic designer Tomáš steps into her path. Now she faces a difficult decision whether to stay in her familiar but complicated relationship with Filip or take a step into the unknown with Tomáš. Will Kristýna eventually find true love?
