A cast of quirky characters is searching for happiness, each in their own way and with varying results. Friends from a local brewery try to snag the men of their dreams using a message in a bottle, two loners are brought together by a foul-mouthed parrot, an eccentric inventor battles a fateful prophecy, and a married couple hitting their fifties is caught off guard by unexpected sexual fantasies. Rounding out the ensemble are an emigrant returns to his homeland in search of an old flame, a centenarian cyclist traveling around the world, a prison guard who is tracked down by his 'favorite' inmate even after release, and an avid bowler who is an even more avid at-home nudist.
