The French-Czech-Belgian film Marguerite by Xavier Giannoli will world-premiere in the main competition section of the 72nd Venice International Film Festival.
The comedy-drama Marguerite, written by Giannoli and Marcia Romano, is set in the "Golden" Twenties and tells a story about prominent and aspiring opera singer who believes she has a beautiful voice despite having no talent at all.
The film was shot last autumn in Prague (substituting for Paris at the beginning of the twentieth century) and also at other places in the Czech Republic. Czech producer of the film is Artemio Benki from Sirena Film.
The film will be screened tommorow, Friday 4th September at 10:00 pm in Sala Grande and at 10:00pm in PalaBiennale.
