Czech Film Center (CFC) is continuing in its traditional activities at the most prestigious international film festival in the Czech Republic: Karlovy Vary IFF. Like every year, the CFC will issue the Czech Films brochure and it will be continuing with the Czech Film Corner stand, professional facilities for film industry visitors. The presentation of Czech and Slovak film projects with co-production potential - Pitch & Feedback - will enter its third edition.
The Czech Films brochure, which the CFC is preparing for the ninth time this year, maps all the Czech films screened in the various sections of the official programme. The brochure primarily serves representatives of foreign festivals, for their better orientation in the programme and also as a later source of information. In addition to the date and location of the screening, it contains basic information about the film, including its length and annotations in English.
Czech Film Corner is the place for the festival's foreign guests who are interested in Czech film industry and cinematography and want to get into contact with Czech film professionals. It has become a traditional platform to represent Czech films at the festival and provides film professionals the necessary contacts and important information about the current state of Czech cinema from the area of the development, production, support and distribution of Czech films, information about festivals, about filming conditions for foreign filmmakers and about the Czech film industry in general.
The Czech Film Corner stand is located on the first floor of the Hotel Thermal, between the Industry and Programme departments. Representatives of the CFC, Czech Film Commission and MEDIA Desk will be available from Saturday 5 to Friday 12 July between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
PITCH & FEEDBACK, established in 2012 will take place at KVIFF for the third time this year. The aim of this event is creating an effective platform for the selected Czech and Slovak film projects with a potential for international co-production. It is also a new networking opportunity for the Czech and Slovak filmmakers and the international film industry attending Karlovy Vary IFF. Producers and directors will pitch their projects to important representatives and decision makers of the international film industry and receive valuable feedback and advice from them.
PITCH & FEEDBACK is a part of the KVIFF's Industry Days and it will be taking place on Tuesday, 8 July between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the Barrandov Studios Villa, Krále Jiřího 9, Karlovy Vary.
