Sundance-premiered Mr. Nobody Against Putin (Denmark, Czech Republic) by David Borenstein, produced by Radovan Síbrt, Alžběta Karásková, and Petra Dobešová of PINK, made it among the 15 shortlisted films in the Documentary Feature Film category.

Furthermore, a duo of 2024 animated short films, I Died in Irpin (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine) by Ukrainian animator Anastasiia Falileieva, produced by Martin Vandas of MAUR film, and Hurikan (Czech Republic, France, Slovakia, Bosnia and Herzegovina) by Jan Saska, produced by Martin Vandas of MAUR film and Kamila Dohnalová of Last Films, landed in the Animated Short Film category shortlist.

Oscar voting to determine the nominees opens on Monday, January 12, and concludes on Friday, January 16. Nominations will be announced on Thursday, January 22.
