Slovak director Michal Blaško, a graduate of Prague's FAMU, entered the international field with his short films Fear and Atlantis, 2003, which both won the FAMUfest and was presented in San Sebastian and Cannes respectively. Blaško also directed miniseries Suspicion, which was presented at Berlinale Series in 2022, and later that year, the director world-premiered his feature debut Victim at Venice Film Festival in Orizzonti competition.
