When twelve-year-old Toma meets his father Nemo for the first time, they set out on a journey into the mountains and learn what it means to be a father and a son. They also learn about life and death.
Georgia, 1991. Twelve-year-old city boy Toma lives with his grandmother in Tbilisi. He refuses to shy away from the bullies at school that taunt him out for his affection for Anana. One day, Toma and his grandmother are visited by Nemo, Toma’s father, who comes back from prison. Toma has no memory of him: Nemo left when Toma was only two. Nemo takes Toma to his parental village in the mountains from where they set out on a hunting trip. Through ups and downs, Toma slowly starts to feel a connection to his father.
