The film essay Land of Fire explores the phenomenon of violence within the secluded communities of British Columbia, where people bring hidden traumas that wildlife and forest fires gradually reveal.

The film takes us on a journey through the Canadian wilderness, the remote areas where predatory animals and dark shadows of the past lurk in the forests. It is a land whose arteries are roads along which young women go missing. Fire awaits in the woods, and people struggle in vain to save their towns and families. Only the faces of those who have disappeared see what happens from the posters along the road. We travel to a place that stands on the ruins of an old world, a world of magical creatures, of the wilderness destroyed long ago, where a new order emerges ever so slowly and painfully. Fire is a gateway, a way out, for those who no longer want to live in a broken society. How does one live in a society that has forgotten its soul in pursuit of profit?
