The near future in Central Europe: The Visegrad Group have formed an alliance demanding sovereignty within the EU and localized micro-wars are part of ‘our new normal’. In this world of protracted political, economic and climate crisis, there are three people in their twenties: the anxious Róza, her friend Jáchym, who is trying to save her, and her husband Kaspar, whose body they went to identify to Poland to find out he is alive and in trouble. On their way, they zigzag between closures of state borders, declared states of emergency and the escalating international conflict. And as they struggle to save their lives, they also have to deal with their strained relationships. The past should have been closed long time ago, while the future is collapsing.
