Ukrainian Ivan (31) works in the Czech Republic "like a draft horse" since he was 18 and tries to maintain the long-distance relationship with his fiancée. He is convinced that Ukraine and its government pushed him to do so. However, he feels "like a person" only in his homeland, which he loves from the bottom of his heart. Ivan's contradiction is compounded when he watches from the Czechia as Russian troops invade Ukraine in February 2022. His family begs him to stay safe, the Czechs condemn him for not going to war, and a former classmate from the trenches texts him to forget about it. So, what is the "right" solution for Ivan? To stay in a foreign country that fed him for years, with the label of a coward, or to be a hero and go to defend the homeland that once left him stranded?
