A tragicomedy from the 1980s. In normalized Czechoslovakia, only few people can have their dreams. Sláma, the plumber, has a dream bigger than most big dreamers. As a child, he decided to build a big ship and sail around the world on it. And he doesn't mind living in a land without a sea behind a barbed-wire border. He doesn't even mind that his passport was taken away for trying to escape. He just has a dream and he's foolishly holding on to it. He finds a place to build an indestructible iron ship on the grounds of a converted mansion where he works as a plumber. He soon discovers that two hands are not enough to build a ship. He will need to find a crew. Tough craftsmen who won't break. And also fight against the system.
