Lesya has recently arrived in the Czech Republic, she knows almost no one here and her friend Olena, who has returned to Ukraine, is her last link to her former life. Lesya finds a job as a waitress, but soon faces inappropriate advances from her landlord. Lesya finds herself homeless, sleeping in the cafe where she works and struggling to find new accommodation. Her Ukrainian origin keeps getting in the way. She is also verbally attacked by a stranger while waiting for the evening bus. Gradually, however, she overcomes these difficulties, at least in part, but above all she finds a forgotten ability to live authentically and to experience the present moment.
