Jan, a young screenwriter, meets Nina, a sharp film student. Their shared love of cinema turns emotional moments into magical-realist scenes. As their bond deepens, so do their differences. Distance strengthens them, but living together reveals cracks. He’s established, she’s still searching. Success and failure pull them apart. They reunite with a strange pact — one day a month — but old patterns return. When Jan writes a film about their love, Nina tears it apart in a review.
