Seventeen-year-old Eli is sent to spend the end of summer at her older sister Karo’s countryside farm in rural Sudetenland, supposed to study for a September resit of her failed school exams. Left mostly unsupervised, Eli discovers an old video camera in the farm’s shed and begins documenting village life. As tensions rise between the white locals and the local Roma community after a house in the Roma settlement suspiciously burns down, Eli becomes entangled in a complex love triangle with Adam, a quiet farm worker, and Mariana, a charismatic Roma girl. As Eli takes it upon herself to find out the truth, her search for freedom and identity spirals into a confrontation that forces Eli to face the consequences of her actions and the limits of her self-perceived adulthood.
