A teen flies his toy drone to impress a girl, but it crashes inside a NATO radar. The act sparks a military investigation, village paranoia, and a shy boy branded leader of a nonexistent rebellion.
Lukas, 16, is in love with Céline, a French general’s daughter. To impress her, he flies his drone toward her window, but it crashes inside the fence of the new NATO radar base. Already on edge after recent incidents at other bases, soldiers investigate, his father’s job is suspended, neighbors grow paranoid. When Lukas sees Céline flirting with his friend Petra instead, anger drives him to classmate Jenda, who lives for pranks. Together they stage revenge: a mannequin in fatigues, splashed with red paint, dumped by the fence. By dawn, photos spread online, checkpoints rise, and Lukas is absurdly crowned leader of the “Dead Mountain rebels”, a rebellion that never existed. Soldiers come for him. Suddenly, a shy boy must explain himself to a whole country, when all he wanted was a date.
