In a 1930s Czechoslovakia, despite the general outrage, Lata Brandisová, a German aristocrat scraped of her titles and estates, but believing in the values of the newly established Czechoslovakia, trains to become the first and only female equestrian winner of the Grand Pardubice Steeplechase, defeating the representatives of the disaster to come.
