“Do you know you’re sleeping?” “Do You Know You’re Sleeping?” Martin Michael Stilten’s debut film takes us behind the scenes of this world through the direct gaze of a dreamer. The story is based not only on the author’s life story, but also on his dream diaries. The sequence of dream images evokes that oneiric essence that we are able to recall in our waking state precisely through the memories of certain dreams. Using a combination of classic stop-motion animation techniques and live-action sequences, an impressive visual work was created, in which not only the props created by the author, but also his free-form works come to life. The film is intended to remind us of the importance and meanings of dreams and natural imagination.
