A story inspired by the true story of Martina, who managed to get back on her feet after a horrific acid attack and now helps burn victims. Her story offers hope and shows that even after the greatest tragedy, it is possible to start living again. The series is based on the books by Pilsen homicide detective František Müller titled Real Crimes in the Pilsen Region. The elite detective faces cases that, due to their nature, have gone down in the history of Czech crime and, in addition to painstaking detective work, require an exceptionally human approach to solving them. Martina Izingová is the second survivor of an acid attack in the Czech Republic and a co-founder of the Burn Fighters project, which helps people with burns.
