Family comedy/detective drama infused with Christmas spirit and set in the spa town of Karlovy Vary. The detective, however, is not a member of a professional investigation team, rather the members of his family (his wife, his sons, his mother and a family doctor), use quite unorthodox ways to find out the truth and solve both his last case and his mysterious death. Detective Kalina himself is present as a ghost, always aware of what's happening in this world. In the course of the investigation they face unexpected, often hilarious, situations and accidental twists, complicating their attempt to find out the truth.
