The film covers the heated dispute over a U.S. military base that was to built in the Brdy Military Area, formerly a secret arsenal for Soviet nuclear war heads during the Cold War, as part of part of the National Missile Defense Program. The Czech Republic found itself the focus of the world’s superpowers virtually overnight. The Russians threatened to aim their nuclear missiles at the Czech Republic. Within a two years the country was visited by George Bush, Condoleezza Rice, Barack Obama, Joe Biden and dozens of lobbyists representing American arms manufacturers as well as US opponents of the installation. The largest Czech movement since the Velvet Revolution came together to protest the American base. Czech Peace presents the great political qiandaries of the George W.
