A psychological drama set in a treatment center where eleven individuals are trying to untangle their various pasts. Their motto, however unattainable, might be summed up with the wish: Give me the courage to change what I can change, to accept what I cannot change, and the wisdom to know the difference. Most of the people in the community would just as soon forget about their pasts. They are thirty-somethings who have committed every sin imaginable: they have lied, stolen, cheated, been selfish, and one has even murdered. The perpetrator is still unknown, but the truth, as always, will surface. That is, if the truth is what people remember... This is not a tale of prisoners: each of the participants has volunteered and may leave at any time. Each has made the decision to spend a year of his or her life in treatment. They are capable of goodness, and perhaps they even strive for it. They fall in love and forgive, and seek out their better selves with only each other to rely on. If they really want to arrive at a better future they must be honest about their pasts. But can a person completely stop lying to survive with outsiders?
