Vladimír was a masseur for the Czech national football team. The tattooed rebel Jara worked as a cook. Alena was a pathology lab technician and Tomáš built a hairdressing practice. Today they are united by the disease ALS – amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, for which there is no cure. The average life expectancy after diagnosis is 2-5 years. This time-lapse documentary about the patients and those who care for them is a riveting story full of humor, love, and the courage to enjoy life.
