Old-Timers received the Best Film award at the Czech Film Critics' Awards 2020. Directors of this debut, Martin Dušek and Ondřej Provaník, ruled the Best Director category. Best Screenplay went to Owners.

During the ceremony on 1st February 2020, the producer Jiří Konečný (endorfilm) received the Best Film award for Old-Timers. The road movie drama tells the story of two veterans who are about to embark on the last mission of their lives: to find and kill the former communist prosecutor who used to send the elite of the nation to their deaths.

Old-Timers' creators Martin Dušek and Ondřej Provazník were honoured with the Best Director award. The leading actor of the film, Jiří Schmitzer, took home the prize for his performance as Vlastimil Reiner, a retired and immobile 90-year-old army colonel.

Best Screenplay was written by Jiří Havelka. In Owners, Havelka created an absurd comedy about co-owner's inability to agree on anything. The Best Actress award went to Owners' Tereza Ramba.

The DOP of The Painted Bird, Vladimír Smutný, was honored with a prize in the Audiovisual Achievement category. The Best Documentary award received Martin Mareček for Over the Hills, the Offscreen category dominated an animated short Daughter by Daria Kashcheeva, and as the most notable Newcomer of the Year was announced Bohdan Karásek (Karel, Me and You).
