Each of these films received the equal number of four nominations, the categories vary. Another repeatedly mentioned name is Michal Blaško, whose directorial feature-length debut Victim received two noms, the TV series Suspicion, which he directed, won a nomination in the Offscreen category and he may become a Newcomer of the year as well. The documentary award will either go to Art Talent Show, Good Old Czechs or Kapr Code.

Arved, a long-awaited directorial debut of Vojtěch Mašek, received the nominations in the Best Film, Best Director and Best Script categories and Michal Kern, who portayed the onscreen Arved, received a nomination in the Best Actor category. Adam Sedlák’s second feature BANGER., which played in international premiere at Busan IFF, will also compete for the Best Film and Best Director awards. In addition, Marsell Bendig, who portrayed one of the main characters, received two nominations – in the Best Actor and Newcomer of the Year categories. Il Boemo, directed by Petr Vaclav, then completes the list of nominees in the Best Film, Best Director and Best Actor (Vojtěch Dyk) categories. Furthermore, music conductor Václav Luks received a nomination in the Best Audiovisual Achievement category for the music contained in Il Boemo.

Up and coming director Michal Blaško is nominated for the Newcomer of the Year. His feature film Victim received nomimations for Best Script and for Best Actress (Vita Smačeljuk) and Suspicion, a TV series under his direction, which world-premiered at 2022 Berlinale Series, caught an eye of the critics in the Offscreen category.

In the documentary category dominate films featuring archive footage. Good Old Czechs, directed by Tomáš Bojar, brings up the stories of two Czech World War II airplane pilots and Lucie Králová tells in Kapr Code through music and family footage a story of music composer Jan Kapr. Both of these docs received a nomination also in the Audiovisual Achievement category in regard to their editing. The selection is completed by sneak peek into the art school world called Art Talent Show, which directors Adéla Komrzý and Tomáš Bojar recently presented at IDFA.
