In the 2026 spring issue of CZECH FILM magazine, we focus on films screened at the Berlinale and IFF Rotterdam – Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe!, If Pigeons Turned to Gold, Orla, or Greetings from Rhodes. The newest piece in the ongoing series of articles introducing young filmmakers focuses on Albert Hospodářský and Adam Koloman Rybanský. We offer a sneak peek into the production of Animal, a debut feature by screenwriter Milada Těšitelová. We zoom in on Monyová, a six-part miniseries by Zuzana Kirchnerová. In the first part of a two-part article on film adaptations, we discuss how literary works shaped the way Czech cinema engages with the history of the Czech people. In an interview with cinematographer and director Veronika Donutková, we discuss her work on the documentary Respect Her Game and the TV series Moloch Files. Lastly, we introduce the production company Beginners's Mind.
