Studied Information Studies and Film Studies at Charles University, Prague. Working as a journalist and film critic in 1992 published in daily newspapers and various film magazines. A member of the programming team of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (KVIFF) from 1994 to 1998. From 1996 through 2006 worked in several programming and management positions for the leading Czech terrestrial TV station, TV Nova, and its content acquisitions arm, AQS a.s. Initiated the set up of its home-entertainment and theatrical distribution divisions Magic Box and Bioscop; both still in operation. HBO's Country Manager for the Czech and Slovak Republics from 2006 and Senior Vice President of Programming and Acquisitions for all of HBO's regional channels in Central Europe in 2008, contributing to the launch of HBO's original production in Central Europe. Documentary films and feature series resulting from the HBO CE original production project have achieved a significant festival and international recognition; the historical miniseries The Burning Bush produced by HBO Czech received an unprecedented 11 Czech Film Academy Awards, including the Best Film Award, in 2013. Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of HBO Europe for Central Europe from 2015 to 2017. From October 2017 through September 2021, Vice-Dean for International Relations of The Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU) and the chair of Famu International study program. 2019-2022 a member of the board of the Czech Film Fund. Member of Czech Film and Television Academy.
