Maja Penčič is a Czech filmmaker with Balkan roots. She is currently studying documentary filmmaking at FAMU. Her short film Passportless Mess (2022) had its international premiere at the Doclisboa festival in Portugal, where it received an honourable mention from the jury. Her feature debut film Minimum Love (2025) conveys images of contemporary youth and searching love from prague night street. In her films she seeks directness and closeness at the same time,. She is interested in images of the contemporary world that wepass by without noticing.
